TechLearn Resources is a free tech education directory. We collect minimal data, never sell it, and only use it to improve the site and send our newsletter (if you subscribe). This policy explains exactly what we collect and why.

TechLearn Resources does not require you to create an account or log in. The only personal information we collect is what you voluntarily provide:

TechLearn Resources is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect server logs, IP addresses, and form submission data as part of normal hosting operations.

The platforms listed in our directory (YouTube, Khan Academy, freeCodeCamp, IBM SkillsBuild, LearnFree, edX, MIT OpenCourseWare, AWS Skill Builder, Microsoft Learn, Saylor Academy, and others) have their own privacy policies that apply when you visit them. We are not responsible for their data practices.

4. Cookies and Tracking

TechLearn Resources uses cookies set by Google Analytics 4 to track anonymous usage patterns. These cookies typically include:

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any cookies that identify you personally.

You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site.

5. External Links

Every "View Course" link on TechLearn Resources opens an external website operated by a third party. When you click a link and visit that platform, you leave our site and their privacy policy applies.

We do not track your activity on external platforms and do not receive any data about your interactions there. We include rel="noopener noreferrer" on all external links as a security measure.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Unsubscribe from the newsletter

Every TechLearn Digest email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it removes you from all future mailings. You can also email us directly to request removal.

Opt out of Google Analytics

You can prevent GA4 from collecting data about your visit by:

If you have subscribed to our newsletter and would like your email address removed from all systems (Mailchimp, Beehiiv), contact us at the address in Section 10 and we will process your request within 14 days.

California residents (CCPA)

We do not sell personal information. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request deletion. Contact us to exercise these rights.

EU/UK residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU or UK, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Our legal basis for processing newsletter email addresses is consent (you opted in). Contact us to exercise any GDPR rights.

7. Children's Privacy

TechLearn Resources is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted their email address through our newsletter form, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information associated with our site:

No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by third-party services.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may notify newsletter subscribers directly. Continued use of TechLearn Resources after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

We recommend checking this page occasionally if you are a regular visitor.
